Souzai bread

For a long time, the staple food for the Japanese was rice.
The bread was made using the wheat flour given as the aid material from the United States after World War II, and this led to the chance for the mass distribution of bread in Japan.
As a result, the consumption of bread in Japan increased rapidly after 1955. The Japanese bread made different progress from the United States and European bread, and after that it was accepted all over the world.

Especially, the bread was made as the side dish for the meal. In Japan, the bread called as Souzai-bread is very popular. Following are some of the Souzai bread.

The popularity of JAPADOG started by a Japanese married couple in Vancouver, Canada has gradually increased, and has leapfrogged as a major street food to the extent of being published by various media.

The first store was opened in New York as the first step forward in the United States. Though New York is called as the birthplace if hot dog, if you say about the topping seen in the hot dog and stand, there are only standard items like the Sauerkraut (sour cabbage), chili, onion, and pickles.

From the point of originality, the style of Japadog that is new and not seen until now has got the power to overturn the concept of hot dog of the New Yorker.

In Japan, there are lot of bread that is more unique than JAPADOG are being sold.
Perhaps Japan is the best in the world in both the technology and originality in making the bread?
