Edokko-1 (Unmanned undersea probe)

The unmanned undersea probe “Edokko-1” developed by the group centred on a small factory run business in Japan has succeeded in taking video at 8,000 meters under the ocean in the Japan Trench.

It is a brilliant achievement, and a big advancement for the practical use.
Unlike the big enterprise and with limited budget, the Japanese technology that was able to give wonderful results like this could be actually felt again.

The Edokko-1 caught the shape of the prawns and fishes that are living at 8,000 meters under the ocean by the on-board 3D video camera.
Till now it was the still photograph, but this was the first time that a video was taken at 8,000 meters under the ocean.
It is said that it will challenge the Mariana Trench (of 11,000 meters in depth) next time.
