DAIHATSU Midget

The Daihatsu Midget is the three-wheeled vehicle launched in the market by Daihatsu in 1957.

It was the vehicle that can be purchased at the price within one’s reach, and it was very useful for the financially difficult small businesspersons using the bicycle and small motorcycle. The midget suddenly became the best seller during its sales period.

The market shift to four-wheel light truck progressed rapidly, and the light three wheeler boom ended in a short time.
It produced 336,534 vehicles in total until the production was stopped in 1972. About the half of those vehicles were exported to a Southeast Asian region.

The popularity is still very high from its cute and lovely style.

The Midget II was launched in the market with four-wheel car in 1996.

It did not become a lot of selling vehicle like its predecessor, though 14,000 vehicles were made until the sales end in 2001

This vehicle is also very cute.

I think that this two important vehicles will be kept riding by the vehicle lovers in the future.

What do you think about these two vehicles. Looking forward for your comments in this blog.
