Tsume Hodai - Pack as much as you like to

Tsume Hodai - Packing as much as you like to

There are a lots of supermarkets in Japan.
Among that there are a lots of shops that sells the commodity at super discounts, and it is very useful for the home makers of that locality.

Such supermarkets regularly hold an event called as “Tsume Hodai” in Japanese language. “Tsume Hodai” literally means pack as much as you like to.
The rules are simple. There will be a vinyl bag kept at the corner of the area called as “Tsume Hodai”, and the price is same if one can stuff as much as they can.

Say for carrot, the price of the “Tsume Hodai” is set generally for 5 pieces, and you can normally pack to that extent in the vinyl cover.

This is how, for a regular customer of “Tsume Hodai”

There are some terrific persons…
…It is ok as it does not spill out too much.

For the shop, the element of attracting the customers is strong. Since they are supplying it without profit, it becomes an advertisement for the shop, and hence they are happy.
Point of “Tsume Hodai”
First, pull and extend the plastic bag until its tearing limit before packing the items.

Then pack one by one systematically and politely. If you are in Japan, I would like you to experience this.
