HONDA HF2620

The tuned model of lawnmower HF2620 of Honda challenged the maximum speed record of the lawnmower, and the speed of 187.60km per hour was recognized in the “Guinness World Record” for the achievement World’s fastest lawnmower”.

It was open to the public in July 2013 in Britain with the special passenger use lawnmower remodeled aiming at driving like a race car and creating the maximum speed record, with the aim of introducing the sporty DNA flowing in Honda in a unique shape with the lawnmower HF2620 that is produced and sold in Europe.



The lawnmower was brought in to the test track in Spain on March 8, 2014 and challenged the maximum speed record. It created a new record of 187.60km per hour that is a great improvement of the 141.35km maximum speed record of the conventional passenger lawnmower that was recorded in the year 2010, and now this was recognized as the Guinness World Record.

The “Team dynamics” participating with the Civic Tourer for Europe for the “Honda Yuasa racing team” in the British touring car championship (BTCC) took in-charge of development.
The 614cc V type 2 cylinder OHV engine (20 horsepower) equipped in the mass production model was changed to 995cc V type 2 cylinder DOHC engine of Honda make heavy duty sports bike “VTR1000F Fire storm”.

The maximum power has been improved up to 109 horsepower that is 5 times of the original.

Additionally, the acceleration from 0km-100km per hour is 4 seconds by the use of 6 speed transmission with paddle shift, light weight high rigidity frame newly produced by using chrome molybdenum steel, tire and wheel diverted from ATV etc., and has the marvelous performance as a lawnmower.

On the other hand, it has the unique combination of cutting the grass as a normal lawnmower while having such a performance.




It seems that, Honda has grown as an enterprise understanding the play field of adults.
