Okonomiyaki – Japanese food

There are two types of okonomiyaki namely the Osaka-style grill and Hiroshima-style grill.
The most predominant one is the Osaka-style grill, where all the ingredients are initially mixed, and then grilled.

On the other hand, in the Hiroshima-style grill, the batter, cabbage and ingredients are layered in order and then grilled. This style is difficult for the amateur and hence the Osaka-style grill is the main stream in the entire country.

In the Osaka-style grilling the individual can grill even in specialty store and hence it is a happy event.
In the Hiroshima-style grill the toppings are abundant, the noodles and udon (a type of thick wheat flour noodle) are added in between, there are lot of variation, and the store person grills it deliciously.
As the name implies, the origin of Hiroshima-style grill is from Hiroshima, and the origin of Osaka-style grill is from Osaka.

The sauce and ingredients are different in each, and hence I wish you taste both the grills.
Do not miss these grills when you come to Japan.
And both the type without fail.
