Honda Jet

The first mass production machine of small jet plane “Honda Jet” that is under development by Honda was presented to the public at the business air show held in Switzerland.

It was announced that the mass production system is proceeding at full gear aiming at the first delivery in 2015.
The first mass production machine of Honda Jet is assembled with the mass production type turbofan engine “HF120” of GE Honda Aero Engines.

The function test on the ground is planned from now, and the first flight is planned in the summer of 2014.
The first mass production machine adopted the coloring of painting stripes of metallic gold to pearl green, and there are 5 colors in total when combined with the existing silver, red, yellow, and blue.

The manufacturing of the present 9th machine is in progress, and the realization of the mass production system will be made by adding the 10th machine by June 2014.
The development and market entry of Honda Jet was announced in the year 2006 with the start of delivery around 2011, but the schedule was delayed due the delay in development and acquiring the type certification from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The acquisition of FAA type certificate is targeted for January ~ March 2015, and is aiming for early shipment.
The max cruise speed is 778 km/h. The special features are the better fuel cost performance and bigger cabin area compared with the rival airplane.

The capacity of the jet plane is 5~6 people. A production of 80~100 per year is estimated in the future as the business jet plane used by the corporate layer and wealthy layer.

Reference price is about 4.5 million dollars.
