Wet towel and tea

This is the service given immediately when we enter the restaurant serving the meals, dessert etc.
Wet towel and tea

The foreigners who first come to Japan, and first visit a shop in Japan would have experienced this.

After we drink up the cup of tea, the shop assistant comes immediately and pours the tea again in the cup.
You can have as many cups as you would like
It is said that they would be concerned that how the shop employee would bill for the number of tea consumed.
Have you ever heard such a talk among the foreigners.

The answer is you will not be billed for the number of cups of tea, and also the number of wet towels used.
There is no practice of ‘tip’ in Japan, and you can enjoy the delicious tea of Japan with relief.
This is a common in Japan, and for the foreigners it may be something novel.

Japan is a country of four seasons.
Hence, you will get warm tea during the cold winter, and ice cold tea during hot summer.
Warm tea during the cold winter

Ice cold tea during hot summer
The tea that is most suitable for the season will be served.

Naturally, you get the warm wet towel during cold winter, and ice cold wet towel during hot summer.

Please visit Japan and experience the hospitality of the Japanese.
