Mitusbishi Motor was the 4th ranked automaker of the passenger car in domestic share next to Toyota, Nissan, and Honda with the number of vehicles sold as a base at that time in the year 2000.
The fact that it concealed the defect information (claim) that can be linked to recall of about 690,000 vehicles in more than 10 models for about 23 years from 1977, and failed to inform the Ministry of Transport (present and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport), and it came to light by an anonymous whistle-blowing.
The Mitsubishi cars like the Pajero and Lancer Evolution in the 1980’s, and DELICA STAR WAGON in the 1990's became a hit, and obtained brilliant result in the rally.

However, the trust established over long period of time is lost in a moment, if an act of cheating the customer is done once.
