Japanese invention taking pride in the world?

Did the Japanese invented that? There are unexpectedly many such commodities.
Though they are usually benefited, many might learn it for the first time through the media.
The following is the result of the questionnaire, when they were asked about what they think as the Japanese invention that takes pride in the world. The result is as follows.

1st place: Instant noodle 64.4%

Lot of people in various regions of the world think that it is actually useful.
The entire world loves the instant noodle, as the flavor is created not only from Japan but also from various countries.

2nd place: Contact lens 29.3%

Inserting a plastic in your eyes, just cannot think about that.
Hat’s off for spreading this concept.
This is a great achievement where lot of people were able to use it conveniently.

3rd place: Light emitting diode (LED) 28.5%

The electricity charges is less, and because of very long life, the contribution to the environment is very high.

4th place: Automatic ticket machine 26.5%

Many opinions was collected that the foreigner will sure be surprised.
This is an indispensable item during the commuting rush hour in Japan.
It is sure to have taken part in the increase in the passengers getting on and off the train.
The automatic ticket machine is the machine set up at the ticket barrier at the train station and airport (boarding gate), and it performs the ticket checking role in place of man.
If you have a special card, then you can pass the gate without showing the ticket.

5th place: Retort curry 21.0%

It is a useful food item during emergency times, with abundant variety and easy to eat by just inserting in the hot water and warming the food.
It is sold all over the world similar to the instant noodle. Moreover, all the foods are delicious.

These inventions will not surprise you, and are the items ranked in that are invented in Japan, selected by the Japanese, and they are reaping the benefit.
I wish that they would keep producing the items that would surprise you in the future.
