Anko

Anko is the sweet item very much loved and consumed by the Japanese from the past.


Red beans is the ingredient


The following is the preparation method.


Softly boil the red beans to the core.
Add sugar and boil at low flame.
Evaporate the moisture to meet the desired hardness level.
Add starch syrup and salt to finish.
Stop the flame.
Take out and let it cool on the tray for 30 min ~ 1 hour
Anko is ready to be served.

Taiyaki
Spread over the bread.


Placed over the pancake.

Inserted inside the bun.

Put in the pie.
Put in the parfait.
Sweetness can be decided by the controlling the amount of sugar.
Generally speaking, it can be used in various sweets, and it is a typical Japanese sweet item.
