Garigarikun (Mr.Crunchy) – Japanese ice

Garigarikun (literally "Mr. Crunchy") is the name of a famous Japanese ice pop brand. The sales started in 1981, and from then onwards it has become famous as one of the most popular ice in Japan.

Both the children and adults are highly praising as there are lot of variation in taste and it is inexpensive as well.
The number of ice made is about one million a day, and the number of ice made in one year is nearly 65 million.
After all, I think the popular secret of the Graigarikun ice is the inexpensiveness of the ice, nearly half that of other products, and the happiness of various flavors launched in the market for limited time.

Honey

Mandarin orange

Red bean jam

Chocolate

Strawberry

Apple

Garigaikun has launched 3 types of flavor as a new attempt,

Series 1: The “Garigarikun rich corn potage” was launched on the market in September 2012. It was so popular that the aspirants rushed to buy, and the sales was temporarily stopped.

Series 2: This was launched in the marked on October 2013 in collaboration with Ezaki Glico. The name was “Garigarikun Aunt Clare's Cream Stew”, and this also appeared as a big topic.

Series 3: The flavor that concludes the series is the Napoletana that boasts of the deep-rooted popularity from the past, and has recently gained the attention again.

The flavor is the shaved ice and the tomato jelly of Napoletana flavor put in the candy of the Napoletana flavor.
How delicious it would be if the powdered cheese and tabasco are sprinkled on this item?
Though it is a rumor…

Garigarikun ice is available in the convenience store and supermarket, and hence try it once when you come to Japan.

What flavor you would like to buy when you come to Japan?

Kindly share it in your comments.
